The
"Maternal-Fetal Medicine Foundation Nuchal Translucency (NT)
Education and Monitoring Program" is now known as the "Nuchal
Translucency Quality Review Program". [http://www.ntqr.org]
Ongoing quality review has been shown to be essential in maintaining accurate NT measurements over time. The Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine has recognized the importance of establishing a nationally respected, consensus-based Nuchal Translucency (NT) quality review program in order to accomplish that objective. As a result, the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Foundation, working in cooperation with leaders from several other professional organizations, has created a broad based national program to ensure the best possible NT risk assessment for mothers in the United States. We are now in the process of expanding and intensifying our outreach - to educate and mobilize as diverse and active a group of NT providers as possible. To do this, we need a name that is more inclusive and says who we are and what we were created to do. The Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program (NTQR) does this, and that is our new name. You have already demonstrated your commitment to this effort through your registration with the NTQR program. The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Foundation (MFMF) web portal at http://www.mfmf.org will remain as a gateway for the NTQR program and other future activities. |
